Collection of (3) production designer Rick Carter's original pre-production concept art sketchbooks including 1-brown sketchbook with 16-pages with 3-drawings accomplished with black ink featuring various interiors representing Mr. Carter's thought process as he imagines the practical sets that will be built to his specifications. The sketchbook has the production company Bad Robot logo on the cover. Measuring approx. 7 x 5 in. Several pages have been torn out, but the sketchbook remains well kept. Including 1-red sketchbook with 72-pages of drawings accomplished in ink and pencil featuring various landscapes, interiors and various lists with scene numbers, and additional inserted 16.5 x 11.25 in. artists leaf with ink-drawn landscape sketches and storyboard frames. The sketchbook measures 8 x 5.5 in. And including 1-concept art 42-page sketchbook with drawings accomplished with blue and black ink featuring various interiors and lists with items to be constructed, such as stairs, lobby, and lift. The sketchbook measures 3.5 x 5.5 in. One of the pages has come loose and the last page in the sketchbook has been partially torn off, possibly after a note for someone else was written.
