Instantly recognizable, production used hero dagger prop constructed of forged steel with a curved quillon and rounded pommel, housed in a black leather scabbard. This screen used "beauty" dagger prop is one of the most important props in the history of popular contemporary television. Author George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones changed the shape of our media culture by bringing a big budget Sword and Sorcery epic to the small screen. By Season 8, the show boasted an average of 46 million viewers per episode. "Jon Snow" (Harrington) wields this, his signature character dagger as an accessory to his iconic costume in Season 8, Episode 6: "The Iron Throne." In the dramatic finale of the blockbuster series, "Jon" uses this very dagger to kill his true love "Daenerys" (Emilia Clarke). A heartbreaking sacrifice of his own love to halt her destructive path. The pommel and grip of an FX dagger modeled after this hero prop is visible lodged in Daenerys' chest just before her beloved, loyal dragon "Drogon" lifts her lifeless body and flies away from the Red Keep with his fallen mistress in his claw. With one stabbing gesture, Jon ends the saga and effectively split GoT fandom, many of whom were upset by Daenerys' death. The historical prop measures 18.5 x 5.5 in. Exhibiting production wear and handling. It remains in very good condition.
