Danny Kaye, 1954, Danny Kaye. Vintage set of 2-14k gold cufflinks engraved with “Giants / 1954" on one side, and “To Danny from Leo" on the back, gifted to Danny from Dodgers baseball player, Leo Durocher. Durocher was a prominent MLB player and manager, known for his fiery personality and leadership. As a shortstop, he played for teams like the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals (winning a World Series in 1934), and Brooklyn Dodgers. Durocher later became a successful manager, leading the New York Giants to a World Series title in 1954 and managing the Chicago Cubs from 1966 to 1972. His aggressive, competitive approach to the game earned him the famous quote "Nice guys finish last."
