Production used varmint maquette constructed of cast resin with internal armature, expertly studio painted in dingy red, brown, gray and black. Basically space rats, the orloni are depicted as small, rodent-like creatures with a slightly scruffy appearance, adding a touch of humor and whimsy to the film's diverse range of alien species. Like many of the film's extraterrestrial characters, they contribute to the rich, colorful setting of the Guardians' universe, highlighting the film's creative approach to alien design and its playful tone.
