Set of 2 Pants from Waterworld

Waterworld, 1995, Universal .Production made set of (2) dystopian style pants constructed with long grommeted panels laced together with thin twisted strings. 1-pair features leather strips and panels of brown knit netting, 1-features canvas strips and incomplete lacing. In the film, the costumes played a crucial role in creating the movie's unique post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Designed by costume designer Jean Simmons, the outfits were inspired by a mix of nautical, survivalist, and scavenger themes. Characters sported rugged, water-worn garments made from a patchwork of materials like leather, canvas, and netting. These costumes were designed to reflect the harsh, oceanic environment and the characters' struggle for resources. Leather pants retaining handwritten numbering system for assembly.
