Jimmy Stewart Harvey Rabbit Caricature to Goldwyn

Harvey, 1950, Universal. Signed caricature sketch of "Harvey" rabbit accomplished by actor Jimmy Stewart in black and red ink on white cardboard measuring approx. 12 x 9 in., with "Harvey" handwritten on bottom left and signed, "Jimmy Stewart" on the right. Gifted by Stewart to legendary Hollywood producer Sam Goldwyn. Harvey is a comedy-drama about "Elwood P. Dowd" (Stewart), an affable man who insists that his best friend is a six-foot-tall invisible rabbit named Harvey. His eccentric behavior leads his family to question his sanity, but his unshakable kindness ultimately teaches those around him the value of imagination and acceptance. Exhibiting expected age and handling, with fading to the red ink. Presented on a black acrylic display box measuring approx. 17 x 14.5 x 2 in. Unexamined out of frame.
