Lee Majors Vest and Pouch from The Big Valley

The Big Valley, 1965-1969, ABC. Vintage production used brown suede collarless vest with notched lapel, 2-chest and 2-hip slash pockets and button front closure. Interior is lined with taupe cotton fabric and retains both Western Costume Co. bias label typed, “2348-1 / Lee Major," and “Art Lewis Clothiers" bias label. Signed in black ink, “Lee Majors / “Big Valley" / Heath" on interior. Also included is 1-creme cotton tobacco pouch with blue and burgundy paper strips, black label on front with “Genuine Durham Smoking Tobacco" in gold, and on the back slipped beneath the burgundy paper band is 1-orange packet of “Bull Durham Gummed Cigarette Papers." Contents of pouch unexamined. In the first season of the popular series, the tobacco pouch in the vest plays an important role after the shootout near the end of the opening episode. Exhibiting production wear and handling, with some soiling to vest. From Mr. Lee Majors' personal collection. In vintage very good condition.
