Type 1 Photograph of Charlie Conacher

This original Type 1 authenticated (by PSA) photo of Charlie Conacher is a ‘must have’ for collectors. There are too many achievements to list for the most accomplished member of one of hockey’s ‘Royal Families’. The ‘Big Bomber’ was perhaps the first true power forward in hockey. He had the size, the shot and the aggressiveness. He led the NHL is scoring twice and was selected to five All-Star teams. Conacher has a couple of unique Leaf records – he scored the goal in which 3 assists were awarded first the first time, he scored the first penalty shot in Toronto Maple Leaf history and scored the fastest game winning goal in NHL history. This right winger on the famed ‘Kid Line’ was inducted into the HHOF in 1961. But this rare, one-of-a-kind photo is more important than just the super star stats, it was used as the prototype for future promotions, ads, hockey cards and more.
