Arnold Schwarzenegger Conan the Destroyer Sword

De Laurentiis Co., 1984. This Ron Cobb-designed, cast resin sword with internal supporting armature features a double-edged blade engraved at the base with runic hieroglyphs and has a ferrule groove on each side. The gold painted Ricasso guard features ornate sculpture of dragons and runs 7 in. up the blade allowing “Conan” (Schwarzenegger) a broader grabbing “choke point” for up-close fighting. The grip is sculpted to appear wrapped in cord and the gold pommel matches the guard decoration with an intricate skull relief design. The sword is meticulously painted to appear aged and worn. The legendary sword and weapon of choice first used by Arnold Schwarzenegger as “Conan” in the epic Dino De Laurentiis film that made the former bodybuilder-turned-actor into a superstar. In the beginning of the action film, “Conan” discovers the impressive Atlantean sword. The iconic sword also reappears in the sequel as "Conan's" signature weapon. Measuring 39.5 x 27 in. Exhibiting signs of production wear and screen-used battle damage. In very good condition.
