Expertly studio made ball and socket internal armature constructed of custom tooled metal components and hinges with an endoskeletal skull, with poseable wire armature embedded in the Sculpey upper skull and lower jaw of the "river monster." Directed by Dan O'Bannon and adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's 1927 novel The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Resurrected follows private investigator "John March" (John Terry) as he uncovers the dark, supernatural rituals of "Charles Dexter Ward" (Chris Sarandon), a man obsessed with resurrecting his dead wife. The film's eerie atmosphere and gothic visuals, enhanced by Todd Masters' groundbreaking practical effects, bring Lovecraft's themes of forbidden knowledge and madness to life through grotesque creatures and reanimated corpses. Masters' contributions played a crucial role in intensifying the film's emotional and psychological horror, solidifying its place as a gem from that era of the genre. Armature measures approx. 13 x 8.5 in. on a display base measuring 7 x 6 x 1.5 in. Exhibiting production wear, handling and expected age. In production used very good condition.
