Studio bound and bradded 113-mint colored page Final Script written by Billy Wilder and George Axelrod as adapted from Axelrod's stage play, and dated August 10, 1954. In this resulting script the inner voices of "Sherman" (Tom Ewell) and "The Girl" (Monroe) were dropped and new characters were added. Much material from the play was cut or re-written when deemed indecent by the oppressive Hays office of the movie's era. Writer Axelrod and director Wilder complained that the film was being made under straitjacketed conditions, which led to a major plot change. While in the play, Sherman and The Girl actually consummate their affair, in the movie, the relationship is reduced to only temptation and suggestion. The script covers exhibit some edge shattering and tears. Content remains in vintage, production handled good to very good condition.
