Salvador Dalí Book Signed by Philippe Halsman Personally Inscribed to Danny Kaye.

Vintage hardcover copy of Dali's Mustache, a quirky 126-page collaboration between artist Salvador Dalí and photographer Philippe Halsman, featuring a series of playful and surreal portraits. The book explores Dalí's eccentric persona, focusing on the iconic mustache as both a symbol and a source of creative expression. The front cover features a black and white surrealist image of Dalí's face, with his notorious mustache prominently on display. On the gray verso it reads: “WARNING! This Book Is Preposterous!" It is personally inscribed on the first interior leaf to Danny Kaye by Halsman, and reads: “For Danny, who is so much nicer than the subject of this book but so much more complicated. Aves toutes mon amitiés," and is signed, “Philippe et Yvonne Halsman." Measuring approx. 7 x 5.5 in. Exhibiting expected age and handling, with minor cracking along the cover spine.
