The Greg Jein Collection

Message From Brad Teplitsky

We are proud to present the Greg Jein Collection which begins at lot 53 in our October 7 auction. Greg was a master prop maker, collector and friend. The collection includes original authentic props Greg collected over the years as well as his replicas, A few years back Greg Jein gave me a list of the major props from his collection. On the list, Greg sets out which items are real and which are replicas, either given to him or ones he made. Because of a confidentiality agreement with his Estate, we can’t discuss why he gave me the list. But I am allowed to produce the list. The list can be downloaded from our site shortly.

Below is a brief clip of my discussion with Greg’s close friend Glen Loughboro about replicas in Greg’s collection. Please also see the full length video of my discussion with Glen and Fon Davis about Greg and his legacy. Glen was a very close friend of Greg’s, an expert in Star Trek props, a collector and consultant to Heritage regarding Greg’s collection.
